She comes from a bloodline who is supposedly ' cursed' by an ancient Shaman; Hemlock.
This shaman came from a fallen kingdom; The Wolves of Arcane, also known as the Shadow Wolves. {Not to be mixed up with the Shade breed}, These wolves dwelled in the dark, and usually had been born with celtic markings of the demon they were born with- Much like a familiare'. These demons are more in name than anything, an alternate personality- per say.
While Althea does not host a familiare' , she does find herself more likely to socialize with darker beings than those she considered faint hearted. These darker beings share her morbid, dry, sense of humor, thus she would rather dwell within their company. The majority of the Arudin ranks are mentioned beings, and she seems to attract more of these canines the further her name spreads.
She is the 8th generation of the Corbett lineage; Her sister, Synthax, was forced into hiding, Her dam, Alarie, was vanquished by her coven, and her Sire, Tao, was driven mad at the lack of his mates presence. Somehow, Severis, her brother, has been able to keep himself alive.
Althea wouldn't be considered as brutal as her kindred, however, she seems to be the most conniving, manipulative, and disciplined out of the trio. She Despises adolescents, and if left unattended she will take the responsibility to ' watch' them between her jaws.

This noble finds her vitality through ingesting the blood of the living, and though it doesn't offer her anything but a full stomach and elongated fangs, it seems to cause anxiety with those who see her has a threat.

Although, Althea is completely oblivious to the fact her parents were Nobles, and the only valid reason she holds the title as Queen is due to the fact that when Synthax vanished, she took the empty throne to keep the Empire from disbanding. Her subjects consider her a savior for filling the leadership role.
She was partially raised along side a vixen named Tauti, who's dam took Althea in as her own and offered her a new visual to life; Not everything was as dark as it seemed.
